I'm not really well understand about this but according to my leader's story, he said that he used to getting rank for a new domain and it took approximately 4 years for it to get to top 5.

But if any sites who is ranked on 1st page for a longer period, is it too harsh that Google down that website ranking, as domain age has no value for Google.

There are many more ranking factors besides domain age....

I According to my experience fresh new domain is very good for getting raniking soon in compare to old and affected by poor backlinks. So, start quality work from begning you can get good ranking in 2-3 months.

I think domain age factor is the factor of ranking algorithm.

I dont think it is that tough to make new domain rank. In fact I have noticed that new website pages get crawled frequently. Plus you can start with the clean backlink profile while old domain age sites might have some spammy backlinks as they started getting backlinks when google was not so strict and any type of backlink would have worked at that time.
