I think you must have a website. It becomes easier to promote your affiliate page. If not, there are plenty of free websites and hosts. Just try them out.

Okay, I know. It's an old post, but it's never been properly answered. Perhaps because it's in the wrong forum. At any rate, I feel it deserves an adequate reply.

Blasting affiliate links over the Internet is a poor strategy and very short-term. Who is going to buy from you? I know I'm not! But, I may if I get to know, like, and trust you.

My point is you need to build a relationship with "people with problems" i.e. your prospects. What's the best way to accomplish this? I'm glad you asked, email marketing of course!

To answer your question, yes. You need to spend money on advertising/buying traffic or trade your time to get traffic. You also need paid web hosting and a paid autoresponder.

Here is what I recommend:

- Hosting from HostGator
- Autoresponder from GetResponse or AWeber
- Squeeze page with free offer

What about free traffic?
- Write high-quality, unique blog posts
- Share blog posts and relevant info on social networks.
- Comment on blogs with an actual reply which enhances the discussion.
- Submit articles to article directories.
- Participate in forums related to your niche.
- Comment on blogs.
- Create high-quality, content packed videos.
- ANYTHING that builds you as a credible and reliable source and people will visit your squeeze page and will opt-in.

What about paid traffic?
- PPV
- Solo ads

Questions?
Please ask!

Regards,
Logan Wenger

And if you are new to Affiliate programs, then you shouldn't spend money in promotion, instead learn by self-promotion, it would help a lot in earning good money.

Get a site first. Where are you going to redirect all those traffic to when you don't have one yet? It's going to be wasted effort. Go on now, it's so easy.

How are you promoting clickbank products if you don't have a website? I think paid advertising is the way to go. Free traffic isn't free your trading your time in hopes of what google thinks your doing is the right thing. If you are using free methods then you must produce good engaging content on your site or sites. Social engagement plays a factor too. Google is looking at these 2 things.

hope this helps

Is it impossible to promote your page without paying to someone. Does it always have to be google?

There are many free services available and Google is not the only paid source...

I would only invest in affiliate marketing advertisement when I have confidence about getting the return. I know many internet marketers invest in affiliate marketing promotion too, using PPC, SEO etc.
