Exclamation What is the best CMS to use? Which company do you host with?

Hey guys,

Just wondering which CMS you all like to use and which company you use to host your website ?

There are way too many out there to choose from!

It depends on what kind of a site you're planning on building - if it's going to be mostly static in an article type system - choose Wordpress - however if you think you will at some point want to expand it I find Joomla has far more quality extensions and can be customized easier than WP.

Default WordPress.

I started with WordPress and then moved to Drupal. I am in the process of moving back to WordPress though.

Drupal is powerful, but not as user-friendly. I left WordPress in the first place because it lacked functionality. In the past few years they really moved ahead and now offer everything I wanted. Drupal, however, really is a great system. It's just not as widespread as WP. WP has such a large (and helpful) community it's easier to find themes, plugins, coders, etc. to get stuff done. So I recommend WordPress for most websites.

According to me,Magento is the best CMS for the E-commerce websites, since it is having a plenty of customization options required for any online store. I have worked on that and its my own experience. Also you can maintain multiple stores at a time. You can also purchase extensions depending on the business requirements. So i suggest E-Commerce means Magento.

I was just making a joomla site but today decided to scrap it and going back to wordpress.

The default joomla install was so, insanely slow to load, finally I disabled most of the modules/plugins and it's decent, but I found myself having a harder to work with version of wordpress once I dropped everything slowing it down.

I would suggest WordPress for blog-type websites and If you're an overall starter. Also Joomla has more features and also has great guides, but it would require more time. It is mainly content and user management system oriented, its easy to use, and best for Average websites.

Wordpress and HostGator

When it comes to CMS then Wordpress is a great content management system, it is widely used, SEO friendly, easy to use, favorite of newbies..

When we talk about hosting then HostGator is the best hosting as of now, it is too popular, too secure, and you won't get any problem with it as well..
