I prefer Macromedia Dreamweaver for HTML editing stuffs. Latest edition of Dreamweaver is support for all latest web technologies and its enabled all web development languages syntax.

I think Notepad++ is one of the best HTML editor. I also used this one. It supports many language like Java,c,c++,C# and many more. It provide some good programming functionality. It's new version of notepad.

I have been using Dreamweaver and notepad++ for editing the HTML contents. I am so far satisfied with the mentioned two tools.

I prefer to code pages by hand, so NotePad++ is what I prefer with its autofinishing tags, attribute database, and its highlighting. Once I used that, I could never go back to something like Notepad or *gag* Frontpage.

I will go with a Dreamviewer. It is a product of a micromedia. It have some good feature. I really impress with it. It supports many language like C,C++,Java,J# and many more. It also give instant view in a browser.

Dreamweaver is best for me, but there are free ones out there that gets the job done as well like Notepad++ and Kompozer.
