Default Color and Emotion.......

This might be elementary, but are certain colors associated with particular emotions. Are these things that should be considered when deciding on a logo or website design? Would this be over thinking it?

There have been numerous studies regarding the human reaction to colors....
It is important when designing a logo or a site......

I suggest a Google search....I can not remember where I first got some information but I remember it from many years ago...long before the internet....

It goes far beyond marketing when relating to human response....

There were some studies years ago concerning placing violent criminals into pink jail cells....(really)....

I always consider the effect of color on any project...on and off the net....)))

A quick search revealed what I was looking for. Blue seems to be a very appealing color and a quick search of major corporations, and I can see that it is used a LOT.

Colors play vital role in persuading customers. eg Pink color creates sedative emotions is found useful in banner advertisments for friendfinder websites.scarlet color is effective in creating desire.

sea green and leaf green colours create feel of maturity & security. sky blue color in your logo conveys emotion of honesty.

I think that blue is really the right color.

Red is the colour used largely by food manufacturer, especially fast food brands... Because it can appeal to our desire to eat as well as wake our hunger up.

Definitely yes, colors do affect how your logo or website design will affect people. Actually, there are four psychological primary colours: red, blue, yellow and green. They relate respectively to the body, the mind, the emotions and the essential balance between these three. While feelings about color can also be deeply personal and are often rooted in a person's own experience or culture, knowing how to harness the positive effects of colors in general is still essential to any designer.
