Default 200,000 email list. need to improve speed

Hi,
i am operating an email marketing service having around 200,000 email addresses.
I need to send around 5-6 mails per day.
i already tried with 2 server based software, 12all ( by Activecampaign) and interspire. Both seems ok with the features. but the sending speed is very very slow.
I use a dedicated server with below specs and OS

CentOS 6 - Plesk 11
2x 1500 GB SATA II-HDD 7.200 rpm
16 GB DDR3-RAM ECC
Intel Xeon X3440 Quadcore

I see in some forums talk about sending 25,000-50,000 mails per hour.

could anyone give me some advise how to acheive above speed

your advise would be highly appreciated
Jay

We use the ESP, "Lyris."

I've noticed over time that we can send no more than 25k per hour to optimize deliverability. Anything over the 25k and Lyris recognizes it as being "high volume" and bounces start to occur.

Hope this helps a little bit.

Have you used outlook too?

You can easily send 500 emails/hour if you are using shared hosting from HostGator.

Also, you can integrate it with Word and make mail merge too, this way you would be able to send more personalized email.

There are many factors which can have effect on sending speed, such as the number of invalid email address, send parameter in software setting etc. That depends on your software featurers. Maybe the software that is suitable for your need can be the best for you.
If you need more advice, you can contact me.

I can send that volume for you, without a problem. I have a developed a method that allows me to send each email from a unique source and each email will be delivered to the recipients inbox. Email or Google talk me (antfuentes87@gmail.com) for more details / pricing.

You can use an ESP but if you are unsure about the list it is better to send yourself. The low speed you send to can have many causes. Doesn't have to be servers can be list quality too.

What I have found works best these days is not to bulk email but rather to build relationships through your emails. When sending out the emails you want to interact with your customers. And not just spam them. The saying is the money is in the list. And while that is initially true. The real money is in the follow up emails. Will you get your list to open a second, a third, a forth email you send to them? If you are selling them in every email you wont. Give your list something worth while, a free report, a free video, some tips to help them in the niche. Anything they will be glad to receive. Then they will open more of your emails. But if you send your emails in bulk without knowing what your audience wants, you will not get the conversions you are hoping to get. So, rather than send 25k-50k emails per hour, send less and build the right list.
