Advertizing can be part of marketing....

Marketing, or better yet, a marketing plan should be formulated for advertizing to have a chance at being successful....
The plan would contain the necessary factors to determine marketability of the product/service and a target audience....
My opinion...)

Advertising is only secondary marketing.
For example:<Removed URL> advertising other sites. This is just to help ******** get better sales.

It's one of those things that is hard to differentiate because they pretty much mean the same thing. But from my understanding, advertising is part of marketing and marketing is pretty much the whole summation of it.

Marketing is a deal of selling product and services and you get the money..

While advertising is just about promoting, letting others know about your products and services.

Marketing encompasses a wide range of sub-disciplines. One of which is Advertising.

Marketing I would say would be the whole plan of how you get your name out there. So, for example, passing out business cards, having a booth at a trade show or running seminars about what you do or what you offer would all be a part of marketing efforts. Advertising would be a promotion of what you do posted in various ways. Posting in craigslist, in the newspaper, or on your website would be advertising. Marketing would then drive traffic to those mediums to find you.

More methods I would try would be to incorporate social media to your marketing efforts to drive traffic. One great way is to utilize facebook to drive traffic to your site. A lot of people believe building a fan page is the best way to get traffic to your site. And while that is great. There are ways to be more proactive with getting traffic. Go to facebook, and go to the groups section. Then search for your niche in the groups. Now once you have all the groups up, just start conversating about your niche. And when people ask what you do, you drive them to your site. This works great for getting more traffic. Another tip, do you have the Facebook Graph Search? Just Google it, it makes this method even easier.

I think marketing involves interaction between customers and producers. Advertisement is just publishing the materials.
