Components of Proper Content Writing for Websites.
When writing content for your website it is important to include the following:

Let’s start by looking at keywords. What is a keyword? A keyword, while often referred to in singular terms, can actually be a set of words or a phrase that tells the search engines what your article/website is about. Search Engines use keywords to find your content and direct searchers to your website. If the purpose of your website is to gain traffic, the use of keywords specific to your topic is imperative.
You do not have to limit yourself to one keyword or keyword phrase, and long-tail (keyword phrases of 3 words or more) keywords often give your website the added advantage of being featured for several different search terms using your keywords or several different combinations of keywords. Searchers do not always use search terms you would expect, so keyword research before writing your content is strongly advised.
While on-page optimization may sound technical it really is just a matter of placing keywords in strategic places within your website/article. Headings and sub-headings should always feature your keywords. Using your keywords within the body of the text once or twice is also advised. Don’t over use keywords though, as Search Engines may penalize you for what they call ‘keyword stuffing’, which is seen as a deliberate attempt by writers to manipulate search results.
Keywords should also appear to be written ‘naturally’ into the content, so choosing sensible keywords is advised. While ‘monitors baby’ for example may have good traffic statistics, writing an article around it is going to be considerably more difficult than if your keyword choice is ‘baby monitors’.
Relevancy seems to be a ‘no-brainer’ but many new website content writers think that by covering a wider range of information their website will feature in more search results. Unfortunately for them, the opposite is true. Staying relevant and on target with your information gives you a better chance of being found by internet searchers. Search engines judge your content on relevancy to your keywords, and confusing them with off-topic content will leave your website ‘out in the cold’.
A searcher looking for an HD television set may indeed sit on a couch in front of it, but trying to tell him/her about a coffee table that would look good for his remote is not going to help. There are instances where associated products can be beneficial, but make sure they are tightly associated. In the example of the HD TV, it could be natural for a searcher to be looking for the television stand to mount it on, and so light mention of television stands may well be appropriate. Stay relevant, stay focused.
Uniqueness is as important as all the other points combined and arguably even more so. Why? Searchers are often looking for new information, so providing them with either up to date information or your unique viewpoint is a great way to keep their attention, and therefore on your website longer. With so many articles being written on the web, it can be difficult to add uniqueness.
Ensure your content is not copied or sourced word for word from other materials. Article ‘spinning’ is tempting, but unless done extremely well, should not be used. Write in your own words, and your perspective and your topic will come through. Consider the tone of your website and write accordingly.
