To understand your target audience inside out on a Psychological level, get inside it and understand what is going on inside the prospects mind by using the Google Keyword Tool.
Usually, Its more of an SEO tool for me but you can see it as a psychological tool to understand your niche - what kind of terminology are they using? What are their related interests - just for a moment not really looking at the numbers just observe the keywords and see what they are looking for.
People put exactly what they are thinking, the longer the keyphrase the better.

I learned that a lot of related queries of "marketing forums" are make money type keywords, so I put "make money online" as the second part of the keyword.
