I'm a seasoned ebay-er. Here are a few important tips off the top of my head:
1. ALWAYS start the bid at $.99. It's the only way to attract interest and build a item watch base for your auction. The price won't really raise until the end, but you will have buyers competing - and that is a golden position.
2. List with free shipping. This sounds crazy for something as big as exercise equipment, but free shipping really sticks with viewers and will attract a large item watcher base.
3. Use lots of pictures. Use photobucket and upload them via direct html link into your auctions to avoid picture pack fees.
4. You may want to have a friend ready to bid up your listing in the closing hours to make sure you don't sell it at a price you don't agree with.
