I found this 10 free tools and thought you would like them.

1. Google keyword tool.https://adwords.google.com/ I use this tool almost daily to make sure my keywords hit my target market. Remember, the longer the keyword phrase, the more targeted you will be.
2. Website Grader. http://www.websitegrader.com Some of the Questions it answers are: How well is your website doing? Is it getting traffic? Does it have seo (search engine optimization) problems? How popular is it in social media?
3. Blog Grader. http://blog.grader.com This is a sweet little tool, that can help you to optimize your blog.
4. Blue Back links http://www.bluebacklinks.com Find out about all your back links. This is very important for your SEO. The more back links that you have, the higher your ranking. Also, the better the quality of links, the higher your ranking.
5. Spider simulator Search Engine Spider Simulator Great tool, shows all the internet links that the spiders follow.
6. Alexa http://www.alexa.com Alexa shows you your traffic ranking on the net. I would suggest that you take the tour of what they offer. You may even want to add their tool bar to your browser.
7. SEO book http://www.tools.seobook.com You can open a free account and gain access to all kinds of SEO tools. Have a look around the site to decide what is right for you.
8. Spyfu http://www.spyfu.com A useful tool. Plug your site in and see what comes up for you.
9. Search engine submissions http://www.ubl.org This is a paid service, but it could make a huge impact for your businesses. Take a look at what it could do for you.
10. Article submitter http://www.prnewswire.com I'm not too sure about this one. You will have to take a look and see if it works for you.

Although not a tool...
I usually recommend that newer folks go to .....
Google Webmaster's Blog...
And try to keep up with them.....

Too many think that 15 minutes of studying a video will make them an expert......LOL....

Great list Ken. I use many of that list, perhaps not daily, but often. Google's keyword tool is excellent and far better than the bulk of paid versions.

A couple of other free sites I sometimes use which are to check a competitors inlinks and anchor texts are;

Wonderful list of SEO tools have shared here and more tools can be added but these are key tools in SEO. Google Analytics is also good to track visitors.
