Hi everybody,

I'm in the throes of getting a meta search site organised and would love some opinions on this price.

The site will be comparing content from four other sites and will involve a customized/semi customized search engine. It's going onto a linux server and I think the remainder of the coding will be Javascript but am not completely sure.

The current bid I've got is for around about $1100 and includes: creation of the (four) compilers and construction of the search engine and plugging it onto a a server.

Is this expensive? What things should I be looking out for?

That sounds like a fair price.

Make sure it is all working before paying them.

One thing you should watch is when the site gets traffic, it will need to be optimized.
