Pay-Per-Click (PPC) is the amount or percentage paid for each click that is made on a link, banner or product on an publisher's website. Many people use search engine pay-per-click, such as Google Adwords, are called PPC Advertisers. When you use Google Adsense on your website to generate revenue, you are PPC Publisher.

Yes, it is based on click.

It depends on what niche you are using, one thing more in high paying niche there is too much competition so you need to understand this thing and you should optimize low competitive keywords for good result in short time.

PPC stands for Pay Per Click. It is a nice concept of advertising, if we want to traffic for little time or advertise brand or product PPC is very nice concept to use. In this the cost is decided before on each click, after advertising site holder can pay to publisher only cost of total number of click on the link.

There are also other companies which are offering PPC programs but PPC programs of Google is too popular and effective too.
