I think this internet thing might just take off
As affiliate marketing changes from, Email (my game), to search and now alot of incent seems to be the big thing for newbies to get into as well as Blogging. More than knowing what your are doing which is obviously important......Its all about relationships in this game and i have been around a while. People are out there willing to share information to help newbies get paid. You have to know that information is coming forma credible source. In my experience team up with Affiliate managers at smaller more niche vertical affiliate companies and always look for the long term. I never mailed any Acai or any of the flavor of the day......would i have made a little more $$$$$$ yes.....But i would not have the relationships that i have with advertisers now. I am AOR for more than 1 fortune 100 company and have other exclusive deals that people would kill to get there hands on. Point is i wasn't a short term thinker never have been. I'll take a little less money every day to know that the offers i mail and have on my network will be there not only tomorrow but for years.
As advertisers deem some channels appropriate and other channels not appropriate. The methods in which affiliates can deliver there ads will constantly change......Bloggers are getting paid these days who would have thunk that.
Back when i got started you just needed to be able apply for white listed IP's through AOL and than monitor your IP rep by not over mailing said vol=$$$$$$$$ and lots of it.....Than Hotmail got fancy and either Nugget hunting or creating your own word salad was necessary for mass emailing.......I am not that smart. But i have been fortunate enough to surround myself with enough relationships that wherever the market is going.....Im on top the parabola and not the bottom.
I mail. i make money, i run a network......I love making internet Money.... it the most addicting i have ever been introduced to. This is my first post to this forum and look forward to see if there is any relevant information to be shared.
