A few more tips can be to:
Keep up with trending social media tools, or find a good blog site that does it for you. I use
this site, (not spamming and I hope link sharing is okay!) But that site seems to cover two important factors in marketing regularly, tools and trends.
For some people all it takes is the right tool they understand or feel comfortable with to add an extra kick, and some valuable time to their social media marketing campaigns.
SherlockHolmes makes an incredible point too that may be discouraging for some. With Twitter, if you have an account with a good amount of followers, actually following that information can be quite hard, even impossible without a great tool. This makes some people want to utilize more the more relaxed tone of Facebook. But Facebook and Google aren't likely to start playing nice with each other for quite some time. Find a way to make Twitter your main focus between those two options.
Susan said it too! Use videos, whenever you can, even if it is just a couple of minutes of a walk-through or a quick advertisement. (You can literally buy those for 5 dollars all day long if you cant make them yourself)
Use your accounts, don't just spam them. Post quotes. jokes, play the goofy farm games and interact with your friends and followers.
I think by far one of the most important things to always remember about any form of internet marketing is that it is ever-changing, which means none of us ever get to truly be experts, but some people do become quite adept on-the-fly data miners who can create the best content when it is needed the most!

Love this thread! Great info!
