How to Gain Followers

Hi!

I'm new to this forums I work in an Advertising Agency and one of my tasks is managing our agency's Facebook.

I've been trying different activities for gaining new followers on Facebook (I have to get to 2000 likes by the end of the year)

Do you have any tips? I post content daily and make contests monthly... Do you have any creative ideas for contests or what's your experience on this?

There are a couple of things that must precede organising contests. Here’s all about it:
- Publish quality wall posts
- Autograph on others’ wall
- Create groups and participate in your niche related group
- Participate in interacting with your audience
- Attract people via social ads
- Distribute coupons

The idea is to build relationship with fellow webmasters and consequently developing ways to convert them into clients.

I find the best way to increase followers is to give them a reason to follow. Special offers promoted through other marketing actvity such as your website can sometimes help.

Besides this I also use some of the things suggested by Rebecca - specifically quality (not spammy) wall posts seem to have an effect.

I think some followers like to get more from social networking pages and behind the scenes information and special offers are a good way to give them this.

I think you can engage with visitors in a contest and give them some gifts, discounts, etc.. just to encourage them to invite and add more people.

One of the great things I've learned to get great follower on Facebook is to remember this.“It’s much easier to increase your business by increasing your
conversion rate, than by increasing your traﬃc.” So Conversation is King.

Deliver to your social media following free great value conversation and they will respond on the occasions when you oﬀer your product.

Now it's time to go fishing. think in terms of the people you are looking for. Go to other groups and Fan pages in your niche and make friends. Let them know your there by posting something of value, never sell them. you will find them will begin to like the content and as a result they will like your page.

You must also understand Edgewood ranking. There is no point in having 2000 Facebook likes by the end of the year, if no one is talking about your page. I would rather have a smaller numbers with lots of people talking.

Social media is not a one-way showing stage. Posing should not be the only thing you pay attention to. Try to interact. Make your account a person, not just a brand, that should be helpful in attracting people.
