Default How Many Websites Do You Have?

Hi, Just wondering how many websites you have?

I'm not bragging or anything, i've got over 100 websites / domains and it is difficult to manage all of them.

What I did however is start working on my own management software for websites..

So that I can keep up with them and easily post to them, as well as find new targetted keywords and see the Google rankings for existing keywords.

What do you think of the idea, and how many websites do you have to manage?

Thanks,
Dave

Nice website, if I need banners I will give you a try.

Do you currently use any software to check your Google rankings?

I got a couple of sites - not enough o start worrying about having software to handle it for me

I just use google accounts webmaster tool for google searches. Cpanel also tracks every viewer on my site so I can track all formats from there

Do you use google analytics? Because cpanel tracks the bots as well. The goals in google analytics are also useful when tracking conversions.

I use all these tools, it would be nice to have a way of pulling all the data together in one place - I am looking to do this eventually.

Have you used any of the tools like market samurai?

Yeah Google analytics is what I use. Google analytics will show the bots activity as well where as cpanel will show you more in depth information of the bots activity.

I program to pull it all together would be great, have you started working on it or just thinking about it?

I haven't bothered using any other tools. I have a few web surveys done in the past few years - but they are expensive and don't really give too much back for your money. Hit and miss is the best way to learn what works.

I've started work on the system, its all online-based - its tracking the ranking of marketing forums in different countries - our rank continues to rise in the USA, we're now on page 2 of google for the term "marketing forums".

I've got big plans for the system but scaled them back and concentrating on a couple of features that i really need and gradually add more over time. I will let you know when i'm releasing a beta version.

As for site surveys they are a waste of money for sure.. As well as directory/ search engine submission services.

I have a server running whm/cpanel and the bandwidth tool is great for seeing at a glance the sites with the most traffic (if you sort the correct column) - most reseller cpanel accounts have this function as well.

My strategy is to have lots of sites and the ones that pick up i do work on those more to improve them, throw mud at a wall and see what sticks

Wow, nice Dave. I'd love to see a beta test for it! Cpanel shows enough information to see if you are going wrong I suppose.

You said above you have 100 sites, what are they based on/around? Some more forums I suppose? I'd like to see a couple of them if you don't mind?

Just to add, when I found Marketing Forums I searched "Web Marketing Forums" and your page 1!

I noticed that there were discrepancies between the c-panel and google analytics. According to statistics in the c-panel I've had 47 unique visitors on 1 february, according to a google analytics were only 7. On what to believe and why is that? Incidentally, my site is on one week and thats why I have so few visits

Hey,

Mine is the same. The cpanel stats considers number of http requests which is not always the same as number of hits.

And comparing google analytics - analytics stands best because it can track any number of hits.

At least I think that's about right...? Dave will know
