Is Clickbank A Scam? No But...

If you are creating information products and selling them online, or are becoming an affiliate this could be one of the most important things that you read.

Clickbank is a payment processor and marketplace that allows you to sell your information products online.

It is not a scam itsself however some of the products on the site are of questionable quality.

This is the trouble with front-loaded marketing, where you spend 80% of the effort on the sales side and 20% on the product.

If the product isn't good then your refund rate will be a lot higher, as well as there being no word of mouth marketing. If you create a good product, people will recommend it and become affiliates for it.

This is also important for any would-be affiliate to buy and test out any product you promote, otherwise if you push a dud to one of your customers then you have lost a lifelong customer.

Just a piece of advice for anyone getting started online, this applies to any marketplace not just clickbank, although they are one of the biggest.

dave, thanks for the tips.. I've seen a lot of marketers complaining about Clickbank lately and I've been wondering why.. Never used, I think most of the products sold there are of "questionable quality" as you mentioned..
