2011 - What is next for Marketing Forums?

I've got a few ideas I need to run past everyone here..

I've been looking at ways to improve the forums and generate revenue from this site, as I do with all of my websites.

Banner Advertising doesn't work on these types of site due to most people being savvy and blocking the ads using an ad blocker.

I've got a few ideas, but I won't go forward with any of them unless I get some interest and feedback:

A secret members area with a small monthly fee (£3/$5 per month?) so we can share our ideas with people who are serious about marketing online. Also, i would provide access to some online SEO tools i'm working on. I could also offer cpanel hosting based in the UK, and create a library of PLR content. You would also get unlimited posts to the "Promotion Zone" As long as you are selling separate products / websites.
A new main forum called the "Promotion Zone" allowing you to write your pitch to sell your own products. We would syndicate this content to other websites for maximum benefit to you. $1.50/£1 per post.
Paid advertising banners on every page.
Some other idea?

Sounds like a good idea, it sounds like your looking at getting a classified forum section. SMF Classifieds - A classifieds system for SMF. Supports Listings, Auctions, paid listings and more! This is a good Classified download link - might I had this is not an Affiliate link at all - just helping out. If you'd prefer Google SMF classified you'll find it that way.

I have seen forums that have Classified sections and they do pay per post (in the 'Promotion Zone' section) - you could posibble look into that?

Hi Adam,

I think I would go with the pay per post idea, I think a classifieds section would never be used.

But.. going by the lack of response I reckon i'll just shelve the idea for a while.
I've got far too many other projects going on anyway that make money already.
