I would suggest possibly charging for organic "plugging" or mentions of one's site if you have a relationship with the list. You could also just sell the list in it's entirety or segments.

I working with a huge Emails database, i can tell you that the smartest way to use your contacts is to send them Affiliate marketing emails. i use this and it's a good way to monetize them.
