Non permission based email service providers

Hello all,

I need some help regarding an email campaign I want to run for a new product I am launching.

Basically I want to send non permission emails - to some companies, mostly wholesalers. I want to find a Company who can offer the services that Mailchimp provide, such as getting past junkboxes, producing a good html email as well as measuring the success of the email.

Mailchimp has all the features I want - but it only send permission based emails where the potential clients or customers have already agreed to receiving the emails.

I want a service where I can send no more than 1,000 emails to specifice wholesellers who would be interested in this product and measure the success rate, ensure they miss junk folders etc - but only having the emails addresses and not having permission beforehand.

Now I'm sure someone will say this is spam. But to me this seems a relatively small, targeted, one-time campaign, so I would think there will be a company offering this kind of service without resorting to illegal / black hat methods.

Can anyone help?

It sounds to me like you might want to speak to a data merchant who can provide you with the email addresses you need.

In some cases data houses will also send the emails for you.

They should also be able to advise you about the rules regarding spamming.

Are these companies called data merchants?

I googled that but just got bank merchants.

Can you give me an example?

Like you predicted, someone did say it: it's spam, and it's a bad idea. Grow your list organically. Mailchimp will shut you down, and all other reputable ESPs (including us) would do the same. There are no email service providers that allow spam and get good deliverability. These two are mutually exclusive. Stop searching for it. It's a short-term "solution" that will inevitably lead to you destroying your online reputation.

Re-focus to find a way to reach out to these wholesalers without spamming them. See where the industry hangs out online and off-. Attend a tradeshow if needed. Offer something of value to them and build your list the right way. Here are some ideas.
