Default Article marketing vs the Panda.

Ezinearticles and other directories took a hit once the Panda Update was unleashed. This forced those sites to remove poor qaulity articles and edit each and every article closer than before. Article marketing is not dead, people that are willing to submit good content are going to benefit from the new rules and restrictions. I wrote a post about it the other day. I will not link to that post but before I published that post I was reading a lot of what Chris Knight the ceo of Ezinearticles thinks about the update. Here is a link to one of the videos where he talks about the update. It seems to me that now would be a good time to get in, that's if you are leading with value.

Thank you for posting this link.

Article marketing used to be a large part of my job but I noticed that it became harder and harder to get results. It didn't help I was going after short tail keywords but still.

So is there still life in article marketing through article sites or is it better to look for alternative locations (relationship + article marketing, guest blogging for example)

Until recently, article marketing worked but of late the technique has lost much of its potency. With the Panda update hammering ‘content farms’ (low quality content sites), most articles directories have been wiped off from SERPs.

To me, blogging is a better alternative over article marketing. If your blog posts are original and rich in quality, you’ll definitely benefit from this form of Internet marketing. You must also consider social media marketing, besides blogging.

I agree with you article marketing is not dead.Panda did lots of harm to many blogs and sites and so to their average earnings.

if you post unique article in leading article sites than I don’t think it can be harmful. Than Article submission is still worth to do

Panda had once got my site move down a bit but then I submitted quality articles and it was moved back to more good ranking.

I find that it is really hit and miss at the moment. So many people are saying that as long as you provide high quality content then your fine. Where as many others (myself included) provided high quality content before and still do, yet still took a huge drop in page rank and traffic. It may still be early and perhaps things will sort themselves out in time, the cream rises to the top kind of thing. Only time will tell.
